Former FA designer joins Bath agency Mud

Bath-based creative agency Mud has appointed Oliver Ware as its new Digital Design Director, strengthening its leadership team as it continues to grow its digital offering.

Oliver joins from The FA, where he spent six years as Lead Visual Designer, working across brand, product and digital platforms. His work included shaping the England Football brand and leading design across England Football Learning, collaborating closely with product, UX and engineering teams.

An award-winning designer, Oliver was recently named in the BIMA 100 ‘Class of 2024’ – a list recognising the UK’s most influential and innovative individuals working across digital and technology.

He brings more than 20 years’ experience as a designer and creative lead, having worked with global brands including Rolls-Royce, BMW, MINI, Samsung, Sky, Warner Bros, Universal Studios, AXA, ESPN and Dolby.

At Mud, Oliver will lead the agency’s design direction, bringing a stronger focus to brand-led digital systems and supporting the team as it continues to deliver high-quality web design projects.

Oliver’s appointment follows Mud’s recent recognition as ‘Agency of the Year’ at the Creative Bath Awards and completes its leadership team. He joins Creative Director Matt Powell, Development Director Russ Back and Operations Director Meg West.

The move reflects the agency’s plans to deepen the scope of its projects, strengthen its strategic offer and continue building a portfolio of purposeful, design-led digital work.
