AI, ecommerce and digital advertising talks come to Somerset
Frome Digital Exchange has launched a new initiative to connect digital and creative businesses across Somerset, Wiltshire and Bath.
A new series of talks and networking events for the region’s digital, marketing and creative businesses commences in Frome on Thursday 8th October. The first event will look at how AI agents are changing the way customers find and buy from businesses.
Frome Digital Exchange (FDX) is organised by Frome web design studio Yellow Peach. It aims to fill a gap in the South West’s events calendar. Bristol and Bath have a busy programme of tech and creative events, but there has been little for the businesses, freelancers and in-house teams based in Somerset and Wiltshire.
The first event runs from 9:15am to 11:00am at Little Walcot, Frome. It features four short talks from nearby businesses:
- How to Prepare Your Online Store for Agentic Commerce by Iestyn Keyes, CEO of Bath-based Shopify Plus agency blubolt
- How Narrative & Design Can Inspire & Drive Change by Jay Bigford, Founder and Creative Director of brand and design studio Yoke
- 2027 & Beyond: The Future of Digital Advertising by Sally Hunt and Harriet Barter, Co-Founders of Bath and Bristol paid media agency Floresco Media
- Making an Impact in Frome by Lenka Grimes of Fair Frome, FDX’s charity partner
Will Lawrence, Founder of Yellow Peach, said, “Frome has a brilliant mix of creatives, marketers and business owners doing really interesting work, but there’s never been anywhere local for them to come together.
“FDX is our attempt to change that. We want it to become a regular event, somewhere people can hear ideas worth talking about from people working locally, meet a few new faces, and do some good for the town and local area at the same time.”
All profits from ticket sales go to Fair Frome, which tackles poverty and hardship across the town.
