Bath Rugby Foundation will be hosting a special International Men’s Day Lunch with former Bath and England rugby player Lewis Moody MBE.

With a focus on men’s mental health and breaking down the stigma around talking, the event will be held on Wednesday 19th November at Emberwood, Bath.

The lunch will be compered by Bath Rugby Foundation’s Head of Fundraising, Halena Coury, who will interview the former England Rugby captain about his personal journey through the highs of elite sport, the challenges faced off the pitch and the power of vulnerability.

A spokesperson for Bath Rugby Foundation said, “Every day, through our work with young men across Bath and North East Somerset, we see the urgency of this issue. Research such as the Lost Boys report highlights the scale of the challenge: boys are more likely to fall behind at school, struggle with confidence, disengage from education, and later face a higher risk of poor mental health, offending or unemployment. Sadly, our programmes confirm this reality, but we are determined to change the story.

“We want this International Men’s Day to be more than a date in the diary – we want it to be a movement for change. By opening up the conversation and breaking the silence, we can begin to challenge stigma and create a culture where men feel able to talk and seek help.”

Tickets are priced at £50 per person, which includes a welcome drink and a two-course lunch.
