ALABARÉ to take the stage at TBE South West Charity Conference & Expo
ALABARÉ, winner of the 2025 TBE Awards Charity/Not-for-Profit category, will take to the stage at this year’s South West Charity Conference & Expo.
Faye Tryhorn from the charity will join TBE Founder Anita Jaynes on Thursday 11th June at Bath Racecourse for a fireside chat. The conversation will explore the event’s theme of resilience, sharing insight from ALABARÉ’s frontline work and the people they support.
Formed 35 years ago in Salisbury, the homeless charity’s story began by supporting one man named Bob. Since then, it has grown to support more than 3,200 people each year across the South West and Wales.
ALABARÉ’s vision is that everyone in our society has the opportunity to live a fulfilling life, and its mission is to break the cycle of homelessness by providing homes, restoring hearts and empowering minds. The charity’s person-centred approach to care is tailored to each individual, ensuring that the most complex needs are taken into account.
The charity is also proud of its Veteran Self-Build scheme, with projects in Ludgershall and Plymouth. The initiative gives homeless veterans the chance to gain practical skills, qualifications and a route into employment, while helping to build a home they can move into. To date, 50 veterans have graduated from the programme, with 97% progressing into full-time employment.
Winning the TBE Award recognised both the dedication of the ALABARÉ team and the resilience of the people they support, at a time when demand for services continues to grow.
At the conference, the team will share real stories and practical insight into how they build resilience, alongside examples of the innovative approaches shaping their work.
