Bath entrepreneur launches support hub for small business owners
Local entrepreneur Naomi Summers has launched SMEs Unleashed, an online business support hub offering small business owners expert insights and accessible, 30-minute online networking sessions.
Naomi, who founded her VA business GO Get Organised in 2012, has developed the hub to help business owners, leaders and professionals find practical answers, build connections and learn new skills alongside their daily responsibilities.
She said, “Too busy for networking? I’ve been there. I wanted to create a safe space where busy entrepreneurs, particularly start-ups could access affordably and offer help that I so wish I’d had access to when I became self-employed 14 years ago. SMEs Unleashed is the support I wish I’d had and I still need it now.”
Membership costs £9.99 plus VAT a month, on a rolling basis with no tie-in and brings together advice from the GO Get Organised team, a growing video tips library, a resource centre and access to other business owners and other essential business disciplines including aspects of marketing, and tips around growth and sustainability.
The UK had approximately 5.7 million SMEs at the start of 2025, according to the Department for Business and Trade’s Business Population Estimates and their success over time is key to the nation’s overall economic health.
However only a fraction of those businesses will make it to ten years’ trading.
Naomi explained, “Many businesses fail because they’ve not got those foundations in place and have a lack of knowledge around the long term value of marketing and PR. Getting this right is the difference between having a business which brings a good living or a great living – and simply surviving and living hand to mouth month on month.”
SMEs Unleashed aims to make support accessible to owners whose time is limited and who may be tackling business challenges without someone to turn to. Its rapid networking sessions twice a month give participants the opportunity to meet five business connections through individual online meetings within 30 minutes. Each month there will also be a ‘rapid insights’ session which offers a 20-minute presentation from an expert, followed by ten minutes for questions. Both formats are designed to fit around the demands of running a business.
Naomi added, “Ask questions, meet experts, network and learn, all in 30 minutes. You’ve always got 30 minutes.”
GO Get Organised is based in Bath and supports businesses nationwide with virtual assistant services, administration, marketing, social media, websites and SEO.
