Bath Rugby Foundation is offering a FREE, five-day course this month to support 16–25-year-olds in Bath and North East Somerset who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Summer Advantage is a work-readiness programme designed to help young people who feel stuck or uncertain about their future. The course focuses on building confidence, developing life skills and supporting participants to create a clear and achievable plan for their next step – whether that’s work, further training, or simply regaining motivation.

Taking place at the Bath Rec Sports Hub, the programme runs twice over the summer holidays and is completely free to attend.

Liam Lintern, Summer Advantage Lead and Alternative Learning Coach at Bath Rugby Foundation, said, “Advantage is a great opportunity to be part of something positive over the summer. If you’re at a crossroads or unsure what your next step looks like, we’re here to help you figure it out. Through five simple steps – breaking barriers, building confidence, interview preparation, workplace visits and CV writing – we support young people to move forward with purpose.”

The programme offers a relaxed but purposeful environment, where participants are encouraged to progress at their own pace. With a mix of group activities, one-to-one support and real-world experience, every young person will leave with something – a CV, improved confidence, or simply a sense of direction.
