To mark International Women’s Day 2026, we’re celebrating Bath & North East Somerset’s most inspiring women.

Through our website and social media channels, we asked our readers which women in our community inspire them and created a list of 20. The list will be featured in our Spring magazine and every weekday throughout March we are profiling and championing each of these fantastic women online and via our social feeds.

Today we put the spotlight on Emma Page, Partner in Thrings’ Private Property team.

Tell us about you and your work:

I’m a Partner in Thrings’ Private Property team, based in our Bath office in Queens Square. We support our clients not just in buying and selling homes but supporting them across a wide range of conveyancing services.

We are most well-known for selling beautiful homes in and around Bath, but we also act on properties across the country and for clients globally. It’s a really rewarding job where you get to meet a wide variety of interesting people – and of course help people buy homes in the region we all know and love.

As a Partner, I am also very involved in the training and development of our juniors and thoroughly enjoy being able to help them progress in their legal careers.

Outside of the office, I am a very keen runner and am currently training for my first ever London Marathon as well as planning my wedding in July. It’s a juggle but I wouldn’t change any of it!

What are you most proud of?

Aside from being promoted to Partner last year, I would actually have to say being named by TBE as one of Bath’s most inspirational women!

It was not something I had ever considered myself eligible for, and no one had told me I had been put forward, so when I was told that I was included alongside so many fantastic women, I was surprised and very humbled!

How does it feel to be recognised as one of Bath’s Most Inspiring Women?

I couldn’t quite believe it when I received the email.  As a typical “Type A” lawyer, I’m always striving to achieve the next thing and to try to be better. It’s never dawned on me the impact this has on those around me, or that it would encourage them to put me forward like this. To be considered as inspiring to others blows my mind a little.

What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

International Women’s Day reminds me that strength doesn’t always shout. I’m an introvert who will never have the loudest gesture or opinion, but I’d like to think I’m quietly determined and I really get a lot out of providing the best service I can to my clients and supporting my colleagues. Having a day like this that helps inspire us to break down barriers that women face in the workplace is so important and I will always push for quiet talent to be recognised and championed in a world of noise.

This year’s IWD theme asks us to think about how giving benefits everyone. What’s an example from your work or community life where supporting another woman led to something meaningful in return?

As I’ve previously said, I really enjoy being able to support our juniors, particularly our trainees and apprentices, to flourish in their roles and reach their potential.

We have had the pleasure of some great women progress through our team in the time I have been here, including my colleague Ella, who joined the team as a paralegal, trained with the team, qualified and has become a fantastic lawyer and friend.

What piece of advice would you share with your younger self?

To believe in myself and the support of others to channel Imposter Syndrome to drive growth rather than letting it hold me back.

I never imagined I would make it to Partner, nor did it ever cross my mind that I would be recognised as one of Bath’s most inspiring women, but I give credit to the like-minded strong men and women who have supported me over the years for helping me to learn and grow. It’s something I will always be grateful for and want to continue to pay it back in kind.
