Interaction designs state-of-the-art Scottish offices for TLT

Bath-based workplace design specialist Interaction has created two Scottish offices for the law firm TLT which have been designed to facilitate flexible working and enhance employee wellbeing.

TLT’s new, 3,162sq ft Edinburgh office is situated on the top floor of New Clarendon – a newly refurbished building on the city’s bustling George Street.

Interaction has also refurbished an additional half-floor at TLT’s Glasgow office, after doing the original fitout in 2022. The Glasgow space now spans 14,000 sq ft on the ninth floor of Cadworks in West Campbell Street, one of Scotland’s most sustainable office buildings.

TLT’s new and expanded Scottish workspaces feature state-of-the-art facilities and technology that will enable employees to seamlessly mix remote working with time in the office.

Key design features include flexible workspaces, breakout areas where employees and clients can work collaboratively, and wellbeing spaces.

TLT’s new Edinburgh office includes a balcony offering spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle and the city’s historic old town.

The two new offices reflect Edinburgh and Glasgow’s rich heritage and include printed acoustic wall panels that depict the two cities, as well as locally produced artworks, ceramics and cushions.

Both workspaces have been equipped with adaptive lighting and adjustable workspaces to accommodate those with reduced mobility and neurodiverse requirements.

Sustainability was also a key focus of the two office design projects. A large proportion of the office furniture, including desktops, desk screens, meeting room tables and chairs, is recycled.

Justine Bryan, a Senior Designer at Interaction, said, “The new Edinburgh and Glasgow offices are the latest design projects that Interaction has completed for TLT, who we have been working with closely since 1992.

“Last year we unveiled the firm’s cutting-edge Manchester workspace in the ultra-sustainable Eden building. Like Manchester, the new Edinburgh and Glasgow offices put employee wellbeing and collaborative working at their heart.”
