Thursday 6th November will see the second annual 2025 TBE Awards, sponsored by Thrings, take place at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon.

Grant UK is shortlisted in the following categories:

Grant’s products have been heating homes for nearly five decades with Grant Engineering founded in Co Offaly, Ireland in 1978, followed by Grant UK being established in 1996 to serve customers in Great Britain.

Grant UK has always been a Wiltshire-based company, starting in Salisbury before moving to Devizes and, most recently, moving to Swindon in 2022 to accommodate the company’s growth and need for larger offices, facilities and warehousing.

Today, Grant’s product range includes award-winning air source heat pumps, biofuel compatible oil boilers, hybrid heating systems, solar thermal, heat emitters and hot water cylinders with Grant UK’s operations comprising of product supply, distribution, sales, marketing, training and technical support.

We asked Anna Wakefield, Head of Internal Sales and Marketing, about the business and the 2025 TBE Awards.

Why did you enter the 2025 TBE Awards?

We decided to enter the 2025 TBE Awards in the categories for Positive Business Award and Sustainable Business of the Year because we feel passionately about the achievements we have made through our Kick the Carbon Grassroots Schools Programme with Bath Rugby and our Grant Project Zero carbon reduction programme. Local awards such as TBE Awards are fantastic at showcasing what businesses and organisations in the local area are doing, whether it’s through product innovation, making an impact amongst the community or changing the way they work to be more environmentally friendly in their day-to-day operations.

What achievement are you most proud of in the past 12 months?

Looking back on the last year, our teams here at Grant UK have all worked incredibly hard to help the business achieve some brilliant milestones. Some highlights include achieving our carbon neutral company status for a fourth consecutive year, reducing our carbon footprint in 2024, significantly reducing the use of non-recyclable plastics in our product packaging, exceeding our expectations with the Kick the Carbon programme amongst local schools by educating over 2,000 primary schoolchildren about sustainability, and raising awareness of low carbon heating with our activities with Bath Rugby. In addition, we’ve launched our fifth generation of air source heat pump, unveiled an innovative scheme with heating engineers to support their transition into renewable heating, and welcomed new members to the Grant Team as we continue to develop and grow here in Wiltshire.

What does being a finalist in the TBE Awards mean to you / your team?

When our Kick the Carbon initiative was announced as a Finalist in the category for the Positive Business Award, we were incredibly proud and excited. To then be announced as a Finalist in a second category for Sustainable Business of the Year was the icing on the cake! We pride ourselves here at Grant UK on delivering first-class products and customer service as well as making a difference outside of our offices. To be recognised by TBE Awards really does mean a lot to every member of the Grant Team as it acknowledges the amazing work everyone is achieving day in and day out.

What’s next for you – any exciting plans or goals on the horizon?

Grant UK is striving to deliver its Mission to take small steps together to transform home heating with a Vision for a sustainably heated home for every family in Great Britain. 2026 is set to be a very exciting year for us because Grant UK will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. In addition to marking this anniversary with our team members and customers throughout the year, we will also remain firmly focused on our new product development, tailoring our services and support for customers, and continuing to work in the community both here in Wiltshire and further afield. New milestones will also be set for Grant Project Zero, to ensure we stay on track with making a real difference to our carbon emissions not just here at our Headquarters but throughout our supply chain.

If you win, how will you celebrate?

Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the TBE Awards ceremony in November in person but Audrey and Helen from our Marketing Team will be representing Grant UK and if we win, I am certain of an excitable video call on the night! The celebrations would then most definitely extend amongst the rest of the Grant UK Team members, both in Swindon and out in the field. Be sure to keep an eye on our socials to see how we celebrate!
